Chicago Blackhawks Retool

Created by: aus3kun
Team: 2017-18 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 14, 2018
Published: Feb. 14, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Bowman somehow gets Seabrook to waive his NMC to play for his home team. Saad is given up to make this deal happen and frees up cap space for RFA's. Ugly contract for a pretty bad one.

Hawks want defense first and then wingers, kinda doesn’t make sense trading 2 even though, 1 is a cap dump, looks like they get the short end. They traded Panarin for Saad remember.. why would they do this

They need to retool. They are not making playoffs this year - they will find defense in summer if they have money. They can't afford to keep Saad anyways (+he hasnt been the guy they hoped for) and in this case it helps moving Seabrook. They can probably get Del Zotto instead of Gagner

Wingers aren't their problem. They have plenty of those. They need A.) their goalie back B.) A top pair Dman...VERY hard to get C.) a 2nd pair Dman and D.) I think a true #2 Center. Wingers...they're stocked in fact I'd tell Bowman to trade away one.
