Shootouts seriously need to be removed from hockey, what a lame way to end a great game.

I agree in a way ... i don't think they should be removed completely from hockey but i don't like how they sometimes end big games like that. However, if we're talking NHL regular season games or something, then they should keep them. Not trying to make this about the NHL instead of the olympics but just saying that if it's like an NHL regular season game, i like shootouts, just not big hockey games like last night's game.

For the amount of attention men's hockey always gets, women's hockey was superior this time around. Kudos to both the Americans and Canadians for engaging in a great final. Both teams deserved the victory; it's a shame there's only one "winning" team.

Yes it is somewhat surpising but I personally was not shocked at all. I didn’t expect much from Canada, this defeat to Germany is not as big of a deal as people think.

Even if Canada had won the men's gold in hockey, would it really mean anything? In this Olympics it's like winning the NIT basketball championship when the top 64 teams are in the NCAA tournament.
