A trade similar to this was suggested earlier, with RNH instead of Drai! I like the thought process for both teams, although I need the capologist from Edmonton to determine if such a deal fits in 18/19 when McDavids salary kicks in! I also wonder if Melnyk would be more attracted to the $6M of RNH over 3 more years or the Drai contract of $8.5M over 7 more? I do think the actual trade would be something both teams should consider!

The trade you mentioned was the jumping off me. I don't think RNH is good enough to bring enough value. also I try to think about Melnyk as little as little as possible, so all of my trades pretend he is dead. Just like my normal life

Value for Karlsson, E. alone isnt even close, yet alone for Hoffman and Pageau.

Zero chance that Pierre Dorion would trade, Hoffman, Pageau and Karlsson all too one team. And that package gets you pretty much Karlsson no way you're getting all three for that offer.

NO need 4 Karlsson. He's excellent, other worldly no doubt, but only 1 man.
Cap constraints make dealing Drais appear reasonable, a reasonable delusion.
