Get Toews going again

Created by: WALaxer19
Team: 2018-19 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 17, 2018
Published: Feb. 17, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
No matter how good or bad the defense is, I can't see this team winning the Cup again without having Toews going how he used to. Would Kane help get Toews and Saad going again? Or JVR maybe?

I would prefer not to have Evander Kane. I really don't care that he's having a good season. He's a player with injury history, character issues, and simply seasons of bad play. He'll be a good rental for any team this year, but I just would prefer to not have the risk on my team. I do like the trade. Not 100% sure PIT will give that much, but I at least like it.

Why trade Anisimov?

That trade makes no sense... I understand signing Kane, but I don't understand Anisimov.

IMO, I think Q should actually play Anisimov on the RW with Toews... At this point I think experimentation for next season is a good idea. Or even move Saad over to RW.

Anisimov-Toews-Saad
Saad-Toews-Anisimov

Why not? maybe they'll click.... I cant see why Anisimov can't play RW, but he can play C & LW? makes no sense to me unless he finds it difficult playing RW with a lefty shot.

As far as Evander Kane tho, he has an attitude problem so his temperament both on and off the ice would be a concern to me.. Not a big fan of arrogance, I think it's not good for team morale, and Q is the type of coach that doesn't have problems benching players and I don't know how Kane would take it if he ended up in Q's doghouse. I mean it would suck having a bitter 7 million dollar cap hit on the books.

I would rather take the draft pick compensation for not matching an offer sheet than pay him that much.
