DeBrincat is only a future PPG player and perennial 40 goal scorer.. HAHA....

Lets just say to even make this close in value (and Bowman still would never do it) Montreal would have to add a 1st & 2nd round pick + Montreal would have to eat 50% of Shaws contract and still then -- it's no deal from the Hawks perspective.

The best part is the Hawks add Chad Krys who is one of the Hawks better prospects....

IMO, DeBincat is untouchable, along with Schmaltz.

I think the person that proposed this trade is new to hockey..

Krys has had issues in his own end, but there is still time for him to improve in that area.

These are actually the components of the 2016 Shaw trade. Canadiens only noticed after the trade that they missed out on DeBrincat and Krys.

It's the 2016 Shaw trade if you look at it in retrospect.

Yea, I know the picks became DeBrincat and Krys.... When I saw the proposal tho - it's so bad I didn't even associate any of it. That's how terrible this trade is.

Bowman also acquired the pick used to draft Saad in a cap dump.

Bowman is pretty good at finding gems in the 2nd round.
