A list of who I would for sure keep during a retool.

Description
A Retool, not a full rebuild. Players that I didn't' include on this list don't have to be traded, but it should be considered. I just buried who didn't make the list.

I'd be willing to trade Danault and Byron as well. and Deslaurais, because he's been fantastic for us

Agreed but I don't think that we should spare Weber and Byron... Weber wouldn't be as dominant as he is by the time we are competitive again and take a lot of quality time out of other young players. For Byron, I think that his value won't ever be as high as right now and we are overloaded on the LW so why not?

Weber should be good for next 2-3 years of elite level defense and as far as byron goes I'm a fan of what he brings to the lineup and is a useful player in every role.

I'd keep Shaw and consider moving one of Hudon or Byron. Shaw is a good support for younger players and adds a lot of versatility.
Byron or Hudon would be pushed down the lineup, to the point that they become replaceable. If you can get good value for one of them, it makes sense to move one. No point keeping them both if one is going to be on the 4th line.
Keeping Byron makes more sense, but he also has the higher trade value, so it's a tough choice between the two.

I would keep Hudon over Byron if I had to choose between the two. like you said, Byron probably has more trade value, and Hudon is still young and having him, in a perfect world, as a 3rd line LW is still really good.
