Nah, I doubt WSH wants to give out a cap dump just to get another one - with a longer contract.

WSH cannot really give up draft picks that much. They are lacking good young players, so pretty much every draft pick is good for their future. That's why Byron doesn't really make any difference.

so it would be fair if i would drop the pick? or make it a lower pick?

I'd say neither is fine. The idea of changing a cap dump contract to a longer cap dump contract doesn't work due to cap reasons. WSH are going on a thin ice on that department if they take a long-term cap dump.
If that wasn't the case, I'm quite sure they would've resigned Alzner back in last summer if they could've afforded to do that.

Remove 2nd from montreal in trade
Remove 1st from florida
Add a later pick
Change Haapala for Aleksi Heponiemi

Borgstrom Heponiemi 2nd 5th for Pac

And play Lekhonen Borgstrom Heponiemi (all fin line hehe)

Id like to get rid of Alzner too but it is farstrech. Dont know what would make it better.
