lol no chance Montreal does this. Drouin is as untouchable as it comes, especially for this package

that pick you offered is top 10 protected so there is little value in it to us as the 2019 draft is weak , its just Hughes then everyone else.

more importantly Drouin like Shaw and Gallagher is one of the Core for this Coach i dont see them or Chucky being moved.
i see patches being moved along with Byron and Plekky .

haha has fans are delusional on this site. Drouin is a nice player but he hasn't proved anything to demand Avs Best D Prospect and Best Fwd Prospect. Think about that for a second...2 Top end young talents for a guy that has been a struggle this season? That makes 0 sense

He has all the skill but the organization put him in the worst possible situation to fail by asking him to Play C when he cant. Best thing they can do is hold onto Drouin and hope they can fix their organizational Centre Depth mess

and before you get all defensive about how good Drouin is, I dont think this is a good package for him so I am not advocating its a good trade. Drouin just isnt the straw that stirs the drink of a teams fwd core or offence, hes a high end complemantary player. Get him a legit C to play with and he will just be fine

I would argue rantanen is there best fwd prospect but anyways. Hes struggle cause hes an centre, personally i would never have put him there, id move chucky to centre and left him on the wing. If they gave up Sergachev for him, they wont sell him for a top 10 protected draft pick, a cap dump and a mid level prospect.

Rants isnt a prospect anymore IMO, hes a legit NHL Top 6 Winger now. With how he has developed, hes moving towards that true Top Line power forward winger that teams crave. Hes on a nice path to hit or come close to his development ceilings.

I agree, its not a good trade package, but the Habs messed up with that trade. They traded Sergachev, a player they desperately needed in their system for a Drouin, who is a nice player in his own right, but a Winger forced to play C who has never played it successfully at the pro or development level. What were they thinking, the fit for Drouin is not there at this time.

The way I see it now, Drouin is gonna be Pacioretty's replacement. So Drouin is not for sale, unless they can rob a team blind (Makar + Jost type deals), but that will never happen.

Yeah it would never happen...you are asking the Avs to trade Makar who is at the same prospect worth or more as Sergachev..then on top of that add in another Top end fwd prospect. Drouin hasn't done anything this year to warrant a greater return than what you gave up for him.

Habs are in a weird spot, they sort of did some win now trades recently and then did a move in Drouin that they really dint need by adding in another enigmatic Winger. Team really needs to solve the Centre position this summer

In a heartbeat if I'm Sakic......and it's MB so who knows, quite possible it could happen lol.

Seriously though, the Avs should take this deal and run. Montreal will want a lot more than that package though. Probably Girard, Kerfoot and a first or something along those lines.
