Does Yandle ARI-NYR trade compares to Pacioretty MTL-FLA trade?

Created by: GaryMcBettman
Team: 2017-18 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 20, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I was trying hard to find the last a big player with
1 year left on his contract was traded at the TDL
and I finally came across that famous Keith
Yandle trade. Here's what it looked like according
to HockeyDB :
____________________________________________________
To NYR : Keith Yandle (50% retained) ; Chris
Summers ; 4th round pick.
____________________________________________________
To ARI : Anthony Duclair ; John Moore ; 1st round
pick ; 2nd round pick.
____________________________________________________
Let's keep in mind that Duclair was the flavour of
the moment in the NHL and John Moore was a
23 yo former 1st rounder.
____________________________________________________
I gotta say I hope we get a bit more for Patches. I
would swap Malgin and the 1st for Bjugstad but
I heard Tallon doesn't want to touch players that
are established in the NHL.

Do this looks realistic to you guys?

Seems reasonable. If I were FLA gm, I'd like to have a conditional 2nd round pick in that trade. Condition is of course that if Patches resigns with Panthers, the pick is not exchanged.

there is no comparison at all. rangers made a yandle deal in a one and one quarter season, two playoff rental. florida is missing this years playoffs. acquiring Pacioretty for just one full season and to trade away all what is offered hurts florida long term. don't know why all these pacioretty to florida posts happen, they are just defy all facts that happen in a real nhl trade.

They're only a few wins away from that last wild card. They only have to pass the Rangers, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Hurricanes, and Devils, and hold onto a one point lead over the Red Wings.

You don't think Max Pacioretty would instantly lead to a twenty game winning streak?

Florida is 6 points away from Carolina for a wild card spot. But most importantly, they played 4 games less then Carolina. So I really think they have a chance to make it. If I am MB negociating that trade I'm arguing that I am giving them a big chance to make the playoffs.

If you get the entire Florida management team drunk, first, there is a chance they believe you. I'm not sure that's a nice thing to do, though.
