4M per year for a 4-5-slot guy who has never played a single full season due to injuries, has mediocre numbers and doesn't put up points? Are you on drugs?

It's good for them that they signed him but not as much for 4M.

Poor signing. Gudbranson has some of the worst possession numbers in the league, doesn't score, can't stay healthy, and you're going to sign him for $4 million per year when his trade value will never be higher than it is right now?

As long as he stays away from Toronto I’m happy.

The term is fine but he’s not worth more then 3.75 mill a year tops for a guy who belongs on the 3rd pairing. In fact I think his previous amount of 3.5 was more accurate. At least on the bright side with the Seattle expansion the Canucks are not forced to have to protect him, good work not giving him a NTC

I'm not sure what's so crazy about me saying it was good for them that they signed him. The fact that they signed him is a good move, but at that contract it isn't. It's a bad move by Vancouver but if the contract was maybe 2 years at 2M it would be a good move.

I think $4 million is a little high, but Gudbranson still has a role. He is a dedicated penalty killer and can play with a more offensively gifted Dman which gives the other guy more room to create. Also Gudbranson can play the dirty minutes you don't want to force on younger propsects and he has the physicality, that outside of Virtanen and Archibald, Vancouver needs.
