Description
Just a fun "what if" scenario! Could really get a big piece(s) for future in trading the #1 overall. Am I too high or too low on value of this pick?

I know you say this is all for fun, but 1st overall pick will never be traded

Agree with jimbo. The only way the number 1 would be traded...would be get 2 or 3 pick (one of the Finns). Too much of a crap shoot below third pick.....though there should be lots of good to great NHL players in the top 10 if the draft reports are correct. Personally I wouldn't trade for Skinner. His salary and his play (though its been better this year,) makes me wonder if money could be spend better elsewhere.
The Ennis/Gorges trade. Big contracts sent to a team who wouldn't want them.

It makes sense for buffalo to trade the pick instead of picking Matthews. Already absolutely loaded at center position and I personally don't want the 1A 1B centers like Penguins. I just thought Islanders would be interested in shake up if they get bumped out of playoffs early again

Mikey: Agree with your Isles assessment. A more likely "shakeup" would be, not signing Opokoso and spending money elsewhere.....Stamkos?

Idk palhal, I believe it's basically Tampa or Toronto for Stamkos (esp. Now since Phaneuf moved) gorges isn't signed for much longer (next year I think) and Ennis ha been good his whole career and could bring more speed to Isles. And reuniting Eich and Nelson would be great
