I like the look, but not sure if Vanek would buy in to Yeo's boring system. Also, shedding cap by moving Stastny isn't really necessary, and by the numbers Stastny is a better playoff performer than Colin Wilson - and a center with a career 54% FO%.

I don’t think you want Vanek on the team you are just going to let him go, move a few more guys for pattorety he is worth it he won’t be in free agency every season

I feel like if the blues did move Stastny, we could get a lot more for him. Especially to the pens.

Vanek was a toss in because they need a righty badly. In terms of cheap righties he would be it.

47 gms 24 points for wilson who is a big body and can skate. Doesn’t seem to bad

Like I said this is purely just to shake up the roster

Having a down year? He’s having arguably his best season he’s had with the blues lol. He has 1 more point than Kane, way better plus and minus then him, and is a beast at faceoffs (something the pens need). If buffalo is asking the moon for locker room disease Kane then I’m sure the blues could get a first round pick or a top prospect easily.

And he’s playing with Tarasenko and making 7 mil and you’re thrilled with his play? Man people are stupid...to this day he has never and will never live up to the contract we gave him. This thread was about shaking up the locker room. He’s one of the core guys that has done nothing here that is movable. I would love to hear how much you think pitt would give up to let him play 3rd line

Pens would give up a 1st a young NHLer (Sprong or Aston Reese) and a cap dump to make room for Stastny's 3.5-7 mil cap space depending how much Blues retain.

I like the second two trades and think the values are fair also.

Did I say I was thrilled with his play? No ? he is way over payed. But he plays better than most players on expiring contracts that are available. Look at Grabner (asking price is first round or second round plus a decent prospect) Nash (asking price is a first round plus elite prospect) Kane ( asking price is first round, elite prospect, and another piece/pick) Holden is a crap defenseman who got traded for a 3rd round. Green (asking price is first round) I can go on and on here. And like I said before since you want to know what I think they can get for him “a first round or top prospect easily”

If we retain the cap hit the rest of the season then a first. If not, not much. But Pittsburgh would love to have a 2c playing 3c.

Although Blues have an Aston-Reese in the form of Nolan Stevens. We just have to sign him
