Description
First off, I maybe way off on these. For fans of these teams, what would you be looking for in a deal, what are your team needs.

BOS/OTT: OTT gets a hometown kid that plays well in OTT. He's still young and under team control (RFA). Can play C/RW (although a better RW). Can bring some speed to the team and help on the PP. BOS gets stronger down the middle by slotting Brassard into #3C and moving Nash to #4C

BOS/CGY: This one I'm not even sure on. A few CGY fans I talked to say they need RHS wingers. Czarnik can play on the 3rd line, it just he's blocked here with on contracts. Fitgerald is a LHS RW that was a teammates of Johnny Hockey's at BC.

Remove Belesekey and add a prospect and that's about fair value.

I'd do it for Spooner +1st and a small add. Sens are not going to bring any money in. Not even for picks, we're cheap as f***.

I have a hard time giving up those picks for Brassard who has 1 YL and will be a 3rd line center. I want to get rid of Belesky and Spooner as much as the next guy but I want to add to our assets by trading them not give away more with them. Granted I know to get rid of Beleskey you may need to give up something. Riley Nash is a viable 3rd line center so I would think we should focus on getting a D man or RW. Just my 2 cents. Not to mention we would have no picks in the first 3 rounds.

I like the way this guy thinks. I would be more willing for Spooner and a 1st for Brassard. Then work out other deals to address needs and still have assets available.

To make Brassard work, Boston has to ship out Beleskey. I tried to think of another way without shipping him out but I couldn't. I mean maybe you ship him in a separate deal, but I figured OTT would take a 2nd to help rebuild and Bels gives them a veteran leader that isn't going to help you win, but you're rebuilding so does it matter.

**UPDATE**

Brassard's remaining hit is around $1.2 million for the season and BOS as of today can take on up to $2.1 above in another player. Spooner being around $600k means the Bruins are adding $600k to their cap (if I'm understanding the TDL math right)

And with next season, odds are the Bruins don't resign Nash and if McQuaid can be cleared out it would only be roughly a 1.8 million add to the cap hit and the cap will go up by at least 3 million so the Bruins could make it work.
I like the trade, only issue I see is the Bruins would probably rather a right hand winger but having Brassard would be a great addition.

Obviously he was traded to PIT, just like obviously this was done well before he was traded
