I posted this in the last Boston/Sens trade mock-up

during an interview with NBC Boston on Thursday.

“I think it’s been factored into conversations between me and [Bruins general manager] Donnie [Sweeney] that we have a group with some real togetherness there this season,” Cassidy said openly. “At the end of the day if you can add and make your team better then you always have to look at it, and Donny is looking at that right now.

“Adding Holden I think he’s done that and we’ve added some more depth. But after that I do worry about if we subtract somebody from the room. If you’re adding and you’re not subtracting, i.e. future assets, then as a coach you always prefer to go that way. But Donnie will do what’s best and as a coaching staff we’ll take it from there so to speak. But there is a good chemistry with that group…a very good chemistry in that locker room.”

I'd worry about left side d - you're playing a right shot on the left apart from grzelek and chara. And Chara might be gone next year. I don't like it, but a trade involving Carlo might be better - maybe substitute Carlo & Postma for Krug and MacQuaid.

Not even close...you'll have to add McAvoy in at least and another bluechip prospect...Krug McQuaid and Spooner are pieces Sens dont need but can peddle for picks or prospects...you are talking about the best defenseman in the league and a relatively still young proven scorer...those draft picks are nice but barring a catastophre won't be even close to top end picks.

Still hate this trade compared to what they actually did. Holden and Nash? For me this would improve the team. Not sure if they improved their team with the Nash trade. I like Nash but lots of questions marks and a high price to pay for a rental. Rental market is high which is why I’m always a fan on making hockey trades not rental trades.
