Everything except Ottawa is fine for the Caps.

Carlson this year > Karlsson this year. More points. More defensive zone starts. more shots for his team when he's on the ice. Less bad plus minus by more than twenty. Not currently injured. Pass.

Hoffman two years ago had 46 even strength points. That's awesome. Last year he had 35 which is really good, he was 27, the age that most goal scorers peak. It's all down hill from there. Last year Burakovsky has 30 points at even strength at 22. Now he's 23 and taking on more defensive responsibilities, not getting as many minutes, and sometimes getting stuck as a healthy scratch, but there's no reason he shouldn't keep improving over the next four years with the Caps. If Burakovsky had 18 minutes a night like Hoffman, instead of the 13 he's playing this year, he should have more points.

Hoffman scores about a point every other game in the playoffs, playing 18 minutes. Burakovsky scored 6 points in 12 games in the playoffs last year playing 12 minutes, average, per game. Pass.

Price is right on McDonagh, and one could throw in Orpik without messing up the Rangers' cap structure next year during a rebuld. Just helps them stay above the minimum if their fire sale goes as planned, and even teaches their kids a lot. Add a conditional 3rd if Orpik stays with NYR until he reaches free agency or is traded back to Washington. Really don't want to face him in the playoffs.

DSP for Vanek? Yes. Of course.

look who Karlsson is playing with. He's still the best defender in the NHL. Him on the PP with Ovie, Osh, Kuz, and Nicky would be filthy

I personally think Vancouver and New York pass, but I like the Ottawa deals if Ottawa has the space to accept all that
