Obviously a slow, yet steady deadline for MB and MTL... ultimately players who had to go (Schlemko and Benn) didn’t get traded although that opportunity is still available at the draft. They did get two mobile solid 3rd pairing guys in Valiev and Reilly who should be much better than Morrow, Benn and Schlemko, which IMO is a step in the right direction. Of course Patioretty was rumoured to be moved today but it looks like a 99% chance that happens at the draft. They also have the draft lottery and draft coming up in which they will likely pick in the top 5 for the first time since Galchenyuk was drafted (2nd best player in that draft class). It could be stretch for them to get Dahlin... but then again look at Philly last year. Also with a couple draft moves Montreal could have upwards of 7 picks in the first two rounds of the draft so a really good opportunity to build their pool back up. And then of course some generational talent could hit the free agent market....what say you? When was the last time Montreal had such an important offseason? What should they do?
