I think with all your Cap Space I would've bought some of Maatta's UFA years. Even at $4.25m it'd be good value. And I think it's time for Murray to graduate from the AHL. That'd save you money for not resigning JZ.

Is Pearson worth a 2nd? I'm seriously asking. I just know that the Kings are looking to move him as he's not developing how they thought he would.

I like some of this but I think the Pens are stuck with cole unless there is a swap of under performing players. You could probably get Pearson for a 3rd and he would be a great depth addition but i'm not sure he is top line material.

The way he played in the 2014 playoffs though shows that he has the capability. Pair him with a guy like Sid and he could be a 50 point 20 goal scorer. I mean, look at what he's done for guys like Dupuis

Yes but one good playoff run doesn't mean you are a go to guy. He wasn't a top 6 player even during that run and only had 12 point 4g 8a 24 games. I think he'd be a useful addition but the fact he is slumping and LA always has cap issues especially if they want to resign Lucic he could be had for less. If he develops into a dupuis, who is a very smart hockey player in his own right, great. With so little in the prospect pool I'd be worried about sending a second round pick for a player who has never scored more than 30 points in a season.
