Where did he come from? Just proof again, when an average player is inserted with "winners", sometimes a guy excels.
He came from Chicago, but was with San Jose for a while. He actually had a few good seasons of where he put up 15/16 goals and 35+ points. He's shown he has some solid bottom 6 offensive upside, but for the most part, he's been a 4th line production kind of guy. He's a good player and plays a fun style of hockey, but this isn't Wayne Gretzky here lol

God you're so dry Brekel......get some excitement man!!! He's a grinder yes, but if playing with the right guys he could get back to 15+ goals and maybe 40 pts!! Not that bad even for 3rd line!!

I'm not dry, I just don't get all fired up over 4th liners lol

This was their best move imo. A prospect way outside the top 100 for a forward who can play all bottom 6 positions. I think he’s been way better than Gionta, so he’s worth that pick.

Yeah, I’m not attacking you just stating that I think the yield on that respective deal has been higher than what they paid thus far. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets some playoff time too. I have that trade up there with stafford one for economically adding an effective player from the “bargain bin”.
