That OEL trade is awful! Why would they trade OEL to a Western Conference team, especially if the winning bid is so poor? Edmonton would easily outbid that offer. So would basically every team in the East. I don't know if you're just buying into the Dreger clickbait, but it should be obvious that OEL would cost more. If he doesn't re-sign on July 1st, they'll ask him where he would re-sign an 8 year and shop him to those teams with 50% retention in 18/19 to help them get to the cap floor and get extra assets in return. It is in OEL's best interest to sign an 8 year on July 1, 2018 rather than a 7 year on July 1, 2019. If the Coyotes are forced to trade him, they will help facilitate and maximize assets returned.

Also, you misspelled Dahlin (twice) so get that corrected before you buy a jersey.
