I can't decide if my favorite part is you having a very high salary cap and still exceeding it with only 21 players, or you having carey price as the backup

laugh laugh Salary cap isn't going to be no $85 million in 2019, $85 million only a 21 man roster and you're over the cap good luck with that. No way are the Leafs affording half of those contracts.

No one read the 2 million retained by Montreal, which would bring the Leafs under the cap. Yes my intention was to keep Price as the backup to Sparks, that's why I traded for him. squinty smile

Toronto gave up two firsts, Dermott, and a second rounder for Sergachev and Price, hardly a Brian Burke type of deal. The Leafs can live without first rounders for a couple of years icing a team like this. Also considering the Leafs are putting 14 prospects from their system on the ice, the team isn't deviating far from the Shanaplan.

Dude, Andersen is better than Price this year. There is a legitimate argument for Vezina for Andersen.

The cap certainly work like that. Performance bonuses have to be included and the Leafs are pretty well looking at about 8m (two years) in PF in 2018/19 along with Horton's salary on the opening roster. So the Leafs have about 11m to spend on UFAs in not nearly as much you indicated. To go to an 2019/20 accurately portray a 2018/19 roster.
And getting rid of NMC Marleau is just a wish.
