Leafs are not this bad for this type of overhaul. If you wanna do 1 of these trades... maybe? Not 3. Especially losing 2/3 trades that isn't needed... I like the Jones trade.

It is ridiculous to give up so much for a one year in hopes he signs long term. Just wait a year.

Yeah, but Philly wouldn't. Provorov is top-30 in scoring for a defenseman even though the only PP minutes he get are on our awful 2nd unit, he plays nearly 25 minutes a night, is probably one of the best skaters in the league, and is a spectacular shut-down dman.

I'm the last person to want to see the Leafs trade prospects and picks, especially the 1st rounders but potentially having 3 legitamite no 1 dmen and a soon to be no 1 dman in Rielly will make life alot easier for Andersen. If the Leafs can sign OEL beyond the last season of his contract its worth it.

Provorov is one of the NHL next best defensemen, but Nylander is doing good but not as good as Ivan Provorov. William Nylander for Provorov would be fair-ish but it wouldn't help the already good Flyers young crop of offense. I doubt the Flyers are trading Provorov though. Jones is an easier target for the Leafs since Columbus has a good young defense group.

If Philly wanted Nylander for Provorov straight up I'd do it if I were Shanahan and co.

Both Arizona and Columbus say NO, Neither of those deals net you Seth Jones and Oliver Ekman-Larsson.

just be lucky it wasn't leivo, carrick and a 2nd like half the trades made by leafs fans.

The only trade that makes any sense is the Arizona one.

Kinda confused on why William Nylander + isn't coming back to Philadelphia for Ivan Provorov.

Isn't that a awful trade for the Leafs one year of OEL, a young starting Dermot, and two top picks?
I've edited out the OEL trade and traded for Sergachev instead. A younger cheaper d man who hasn't reached his prime. Leafs have all the cap space to keep everyone as well.
