carlson gets more than that.. he'll be looking around 6.5. only way i can see him signing cheaper is if it's max term

Just curious, what do you think happens at the end of the 2018/19 season when Matthews and Marner are due their raises? Either in season or at the draft they have to move out salary because there isn't enough cap space to cover them both.

Carlson - like others have said - is getting 6 million AAV minimum.

Also, Nylander will not get 7 million. He'll get the Ehlers deal. He's a streaky scorer, and isn't impactful when Matthews is out of the line-up.

John Carlson will get closer to $6.5 million per if not $7 million per pretty easy.
