Created by: CaptJosef
Team: 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 9, 2018
Published: Mar. 9, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Flyers give Hart, Allison, a year (at least) in the AHL. Vorobyov and Myers get one more year their too. Frost, Ratcliffe, and Strome stay in juniors one more year. Ultimately the Flyers cap space is fine. The Flyers can buy out Ryan's final year or two if they need extra room but should be fine regardless pencilling in re-signing the Flyers prospects to a combination of long term and bridge deals.

Yep, something like Ottawa trade could be worked out. Ottawa might have a feel if Stone is going to sign long term in Ottawa. I think he's a potential UFA after two more seasons, so if Ottawa is going full rebuilt....Flyers have some desirable young pieces. Good thought.

Couldn't disagree more. 1) Stone will be re-signed this summer to a long term deal. 2) I'll take Ryan at 7.25 for 4 years over Macdonald at 5 for 2 years, and that's saying a lot. Ryan can at least contribute. 3) That leaves a potentially late 1st rounder, and two forward prospects who aren't even PPG players in the juniors in their draft+2 years for our 25 year old PPG NHL power forward.

Not intentionally trying to sh*t on this proposal but it's not a good deal for the sens and if the sens made this trade, I would immediately lose whatever hope I have left in this franchise (there's currently not much).

I agree i think. If the sens sell off stone i think they do better. The one thing i disagree with is ryan. Both guys dont produce but 5mil for 2 years vs 7.5 for 4. Thats math. I get ryans more productive but neither guy really helps and if you choose ryan in 2 years he'll be even worse and you'll still be paying him.

I think Konecny would have to be included in the Stone deal. Maybe even one of Morin or Myers. MacDonald is a good cap dump going other way for Ryan

They can keep Stone if Konecny has to be included.

Why are we adding to Simmonds? Simmonds alone should be able to get a 1st and a decent prospect.

I do not understand the PHI/ANA trade. Why trade a player averaging 30 goals a season over the past 4 seasons for a single prospect? He is also on a team-friendly contract that most teams should be able to afford if they want to. Simmonds should net a good roster player, high-level prospect, and a 1st round pick.

Simmonds is definitely worth more than Nash IMO.

Not with the way Konecny has been playing this year.

That's crazy. Stone is a complete player and young. He's worth just about anyone not named Provorov.

No its not, Stone's a great player but Konecny is younger and has already scored 20 goals as a 21 year old. Not to mention Stone is due for a huge pay raise this offseason.
