Why would a rebuilding team take a 7.5m 35 year old? So what your saying its Zucc is not even worth a 1st rounder so you add in a bad contract to even it out?

I'd probably accept that, although we don't have any pressing need to trade Spezza.

Stars would be better off buying out Spezza, instead of trading away their 1st round pick this season. It's a very deep draft. Keeping that 1st rounder is greatly beneficial to Dallas. If we are going to give up good assets, I'd rather go after someone with a little bit higher ceiling than Zuccarello. Not to mention the fact that there are a few good top-6 winger options in the UFA pool this offseason.
