A real top 9

Description
Obviously not all of these prospects will pan out, but it shows how bright our future could be. I just traded Sobotka/Berglund to make room for prospects. I feel that eventually we will need to sign a top 6 RW (behind Vlady). There are options in a couple years such as Simmonds/Eberle

Kostin looks like a Simmonds type player now. Big body, skill, willing to drop the gloves to protect teammates. I get it, he may not be a factor for another 2 years, but skill set is similar

As a Flyers fan that loves Simmonds, we very well may trade him next season or let him walk. His production has already dipped a little and he's had issues with injuries this year. That on top of the fact that he'll be on the wrong side of 30 at the time of his next contract and power forwards typically don't age as well. A 4 year 6.75 AAV deal to Simmer in two offseasons is one you'll probably end up regretting for the last two years of it.

This is two years ahead. If he comes back and plays well on a one year contract in 18-19, then he will get a sizeable raise. Again just showing how impressive our forward depth is in prospects
