Realistic Hockey Trade during offseason

Created by: PigVomit
Team: 2018-19 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 14, 2018
Published: Mar. 14, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Some wingers have to go to fix our problem at centre. I doubt we will get a 20 year old stud Centre for Pacioretty but we could probably get an older established one from a team that is going nowhere. I think Patches is worth more to Buffalo than O'Reilly since they already have a guy like Eichel and no great wingers. I would try Chucky at 2nd line centre and see how it goes, maybe we get lucky and Evans or Poehling takes over if he doesn't do well.

We even still have 8 million to try and sign a guy like JVR, James Neal or Stastny.

There is definitely room for Byron if you are pencilling in Evans, deslauriers, and Rychel. Evans is a great prospect but he won't require waivers so he will really have to show he is ready to make it otherwise it is the AHL for him. I would keep him at his natural position of center for sure as well, that's what Montreal needs to develop so doesn't make sense to play him on wing where Byron could play. Rychel will go to the AHL probably but Byron would be better than him or deslauriers on the 4th line.

Also boqvist is right handed noticed you created him as left handed. I highly doubt he steps into the top pair with Weber next year.

Haven't seen much of Oreilly, but is his contract considered reasonable?

I like you PAC for ROR trade!
I think it could benefit both teams.
I don'T agree on giving up Byron for a 2nd and a 3rd. Not worth the return
