That Pacioretty trade is one of the worst Ive ever seen. Lets give all of that for a player thats never had more then 25pts until this year and has had only one good season

his shooting percentage is so inflated. he's a good player, but probably on any other team, he's barely a 20-25 goal scorer

With Lavoie and Lafrenniere on the horizon, the Habs won't be giving up a 2019 or 2020 first-rounder for anything. Karlsson might be a solid player, but there was a solid reason Columbus made him available to Vegas. Whatever it is, it probably doesn't add up to Max, a first rounder, a second rounder and JDLR.

Whatever you think of him — and I am sure he's an excellent player and his mother loves him — he is not worth Pacioretty AND a high first-round pick. There are maybe 40 players in the league worth that. AND JDLR and a second pick. C'mon. Join reality.

Habs aren't trading Pacioretty to a team where there's a low chance he'll sign because that lessens his value. So if your idea what that he'd go for one-and-done in Vegas, that's probably the disconnect in this. I still think a 1st and a 2nd is too much for any karlsson not named erik, but it's closer to being OK.
