The deals for Hoffman and Leivo are good, and adding De Haan to the second pair makes it much more defensively steady than brodie being on there, which is exactly what we need. I do think though that there are better options than vanek out there for another scoring winger, he's old and slow so I doubt he can sustain his production from this year into the next.

I tend to agree with you about vanek, i just didn't think we would be able to lure some of the bigger free agents and need to be cautious with the term of those signings, as chucky is going to be in for a significant raise.
