Winnipeg rejects (Gardiners an upcoming ufa and not worth Trouba), and the Isles will just trade Martin for a 4th with no need for a pick comin to them. Take the 4th out of the Buf trade and its a go.

Take far more then Gardiner+3rd for Jacob Trouba, Plus can't see Buffalo dealing Rasmus Ristolainen without one of either Marner/Nylander coming back to Buffalo.

I don't think these are good trades for the Leafs (I won't even mention the Martin one, where we would give a 3rd for a 4th!). Ristolainen would bring a physical element but I'm worried about his defensive stats. He may not be the best fit for the Leafs.

Trading Gardiner seems like a bad idea - the timing if weird after tonight's Norris-calibre game he just played. He's better than Trouba as of now, so swapping them doesn't really help the team. We have such a strong left side that we shouldn't touch it for next year. The only thing needed is adding one RHD.

I've thought for a while that the 1st line could eventually look like that. Love Hyman on the 4th but Brown is playing too high.

The deals are pretty good all things considered but Trouba moves into Hainsey's spot and he drops to the 3rd pair where he belongs. Dermott and Ristolainen would be a good pair.
