Description

Just some wild brainstorming, but I wanted to put this out there and see what the people think.

In this scenario, the Oilers move a couple major pieces to add speed and skill up front, and dump some big money off the books.

Reinhart could be a buy-low acquisition of a young, high-skill player that's struggled on a bad team his entire career. Giving up Nurse is a big loss, but getting out from underneath Lucic's contract is huge, especially with all the new contracts kicking in next season.

There was an article from SportsNet suggesting Ottawa could be interested in RNH in a potential sap for Mike Hoffman. I think Edmonton would be better off spreading the return for Nugent-Hopkins over a couple of assets. Ceci has looked better in a more appropriate role away from Phaneuf, and Dzingel is a speedy 20-goal scorer and plays a good two-way game.
