What's the go with waivers between the deadline and the playoffs? Palat is almost ready to return for Tampa. But if he comes off IR Tampa is 3 million over the Cap. Sending down Cirelli and Erne won't do it for them.

I don't see a circumstance in which he plays before the end of the season because of Cap reasons. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm pretty sure players still count against the cap even when they're on IR.

I think that since cap hit is measured daily it will end up being much lower than 3 million. @Banks @Jarvis

He's already counted against the cap, lightning aren't using ltir and therefore don't need to make any roster adjustments
