I'm glad the Flyers have joined the Leafs as the only two teams in the NHL that can't afford to resign their own RFAs. Seems rather ridiculous that 29 other teams can.

Did you mean to say “can sign”? This in no way hinders the Flyers from signing their own guys.

I was agreeing with you DD. (sorry about the confusion)

I was mocking so many other CapFriendly posts that say the Leafs "can't sign" their own RFAs. (the only team in the NHL that apparently can't.) And you were just saying about the Flyers what I say about the Leafs, yes they can afford to pay their own RFAs.

Teams that have a lot of good young players are able to spend more on their stars. People seem to miss that fact.

@MGabes19

Nearly nailed the JVr contract as far back as March! Just FYI, I never actually thought Hextall would target Tavares, it was just the fashionable thing to do at the time.

Lol we would be cup favorites if this had happened. But no cap space hahahaha. Still happy about the new-look top 6, we're a goalie and a 3C away from being a threat in the playoffs. Hopefully those guys come from within!
