Only if the Leafs think Sundqvist is a sure fire NHLer do they make this deal. If the Pens don't make the playoffs, the conditions of the first rounder pick continues onto next year.

It would be more favourable to the rebuild to have an extra 1st rounder this year than next. Sundqvist is a defensively responsible forward who can help the PK. He`s not a surefire NHLer but is a good bet.
