Like the Nyquist trade, I was thinking the exact same location for him. He’s gives a god 2-way team like the blue jackets some needed scoring... that can make up for him on the backend when he has his patented defensive lapses, or crap effort...

How do we add a young defensive Top-6 prospect to the wings? Don’t see that in your plans... unless you plan to draft. We should give as much minutes as possible and sign some other Expiring RFA Defensemen

I have them drafting K’Andre Miller, Calen Addison and Filip Johansson with a first and 2 second round picks.

Nyquist trade is trending towards the right direction, though not sure people will include a second in the deal unless at TDL. Then again, this is the unpredictable NHL.

Svechnikov trade gave me a chuckle. They may just do it for brother chemistry reasons. You're also the first person I've seen that understands nobody really wants to pay a 4th pick for XO, and that he'll most likely go on waivers unless he steps up.

I feel like Detroit needs a few more years of quiet to come back strong.

I'm OK with the Nyquist trade, but I want more for Svechnikov. Give me Reinhart and we'll add a pick (3rd?).

Yeah a bit of the value is off here or there but i like the direction. Vet goalie and not jared coreau is my favorite. Id like to sign a vet dman on a short term contract just to help. Nick holden or someone like that. I say we just loose another year or so and get young guys and hope for the best. Maybe try and pry a useful player out of some of the cash strapped teams.
