It's never really a problem to have too many good players. The problem is predicting which ones are ok to let go and which ones deserve the money/attention. But with only one guy at an AAV higher than 6.125m and a good amount of money freeing up the next 2 years between Matthias, Enstrom, and Mason, I can't imagine them falling into a huge cap problem. This team will make some solid runs at the cup before they have to worry about anything. It's really fun being in the central... (kill me).

. Good teams with NHL ready prospects do not extend cap extended themselves by signing expensive UFAs, So it's a given Enstrom, Little and Stastny are gone from the Jets, thought it is possible Little returns.
Ehlers has been resigned at 6m. But if it comes to it, and the Jets have cap issues, because they have too many good players, it's not really a problem because they can be traded with value in return. That's always the nature of cap league. I can see Trouba being traded since he two years away from being a UFA.
It's teams that too many high priced guys not playing to their contracts or have retained contracts, or have buyout money on the books that really handcuff their teams with cap, and not being a able to sign players.

Add 11M for Little & Elhers= 80M
Clean Enstrom & Statsny= -9M
and sign Trouba +4M and Morrissey+3M (Bridge deal)= +7M
=78M Sharp!
So bye bye Statsny & Enstrom

not a Jets fan and not surprised at all. just needed better health and competent goaltending, both of which they've had this year.
