Do you think the offer for Buffalo's 2018 1st round pick gets it done? Without including Nylander or Marner? It's a long shot but I wanted to see what it would take outside of including those two players to get the trade done.

If I was Buffalo, I would ask for Nylander or Marner, but probably would settle for adding on Liljegren and Kapanen instead of Bracco. Adding on a nice d prospect, and Nhl ready forward. Also Toronto's picks should be lottery protected.

Do you really think the Devils trade a former # 1 and this years top 15 pick for a JVR and a 4th liner? Sure.

First overall pick trade conversation would absolutely include Nylander or Marner, most likely Nylander because of his brother. But there is no deal for Rasmus Dahlin that doesn’t include one of those guys, most likely with Gardiner, and another prospect like Liligren.

If you want dahlin you are legit going to have to offer Matthews. Not that pile of crap. Granted sabres would add a little more. Nylander and dahlin for Matthews or something like that. And don't tell me that's unreasonable because dahlin is the real thing.

Quite frankly yes, because Paval Zacha hasn't lived up to his potential thus far. He was drafted 6th overall and JVR is from NJ so this trade makes sense on both sides. Zacha and a top 15 pick for JVR is very reasonable especially considering he can average 30 goals for the next say 4 - 5 years.

Maybe there is a good fit for JVR in New Jersey, but he's a free agent this summer. Teams can have him for just money. Toronto has no leverage in the situation other than the possibility of gaining a late round pick from a team that wants to be able to negotiate with JVR's camp a week early.
