Well he has a NMC so odds of him waiving to the yotes are very slim.
Maybe a trade Vancouver?

As much as it sucks, you're probably better holding onto him. Maybe move Saad (Again...), get some prospects and see where you're at this time next year. As much as the Hawks keep drawing from this seemingly never ending group of prospects, 2 x 1st rounders when there's a possibility that those could be pretty bleak years for your team is a big kick in the junk to take.

I don't see Seabrook waiving his NMC. The only teams that might afford Seabrook with cap space are bottom feeders, hardly desirable for Seabrook.
Even Murphy, is a 5th, 6th Dman. Most teams (even the Leafs) have plenty of those at a lot cheaper price. Martin and his contract structure is a fairly easy trade by the Leafs without taking big money back.

I bet he'd get you Lucic, Ericsson, Dustin Brown, Zach Parise, or, if you retain some salary, Bobby Ryan.

Check here, for more ideas: https://www.sbnation.com/2017/8/4/16089416/nhl-worst-contracts-by-team-salary-cap-2017-18-season

If the Islanders wanted to clear space an extend Tavares, there might be some awful contracts they'd unload, but I'm talking, like, Clutterbuck, Leddy, and Boychuk coming back at once. It might get the Hawks back into the playoffs next year, but overall it's a whole heck of a lot of money committed to more graybeards.

Try Mtl: Saad + Seabrook for Alzner (bad contract but shorter 4,6M) + Lekohnen + 2nd pick.
