What I would like to do!

Description
Hopefully realistic, but fan wishes rarely are... I would not re-sign the Sedins. It's time to move on. I would aggressively trade players for picks and hope to get lucky at the draft. No idea where the Canucks will draft, so let's assume it's outside the top 4 and the player isn't on the roster next year.
NOTE: The draft picks I'm trading for would be for the 2018 draft.

I have believed and posted on numerous occasions that Tanev would be a good fit for Toronto! Most have criticized that his history of injury (even more this year) should limit his stock!
I doubt it's even a starter asking for Liljegren, but if Vancouver would consider, a Nielsen, or Rosen, or forwards like Leivo or Timashov, along with the other above pieces, that might be worth the gamble on Leafs part.

Couldn’t see the leafs giving up Liljegren
Possibly a first rights to Carrick,Nielsen and some other piece

And why would we trade a top pairing shutdown dman for a 7th dman, an AHL dman, and "some other piece"? Not even close in value

TANev is so underrated he is a pure defensive dman he always had a positive differential in a looser team he is good to play along a offensive dman

Tanev is one of the best defensive dmen in the game and is definately worth Liljegren. Only thing is that Tanev is so injury prone, that his value becomes much lower than it should be. As sad as it is, and it seems I'm the only Canucks fan who sees this, Tanev probably wouldn't bring back Lijegren without an extra pick.
