General Managers,

Because we conduct the Draft and Free Agency earlier than the in real life dates, it is important that we know which players will be or won't be available for Free Agency, the Draft, etc.
To bridge that gap in time, we are requiring that all GMs list their signed player rights, should they expire prior to September 15, 2018.

However, we are allowing GMs to temporarily go above the 50 contract limit in order to sign their players. If you are unable to have an available roster spot by the time their rights expire in real life, you must forfeit their rights, allowing them to become Free Agents. All GMs must indicate which players are the "carry-over".

All Entry Level Contracts must comply with the NHL CBA. If a player has a birthdate from 1/1/18 - 9/15/18 and they sign in 2018, they are considered to be one year older than the already are on the ELC and must comply with those rules. For example, Ryan Donato is currently 21, but he is considered 22 for his ELC because his birthday is before 9/15/18 and he signed in 2018.

If a player signed a deal IRL, GMs should use those figures. All contracts for player rights will start for the 2018-2019 season unless players have met the NHL exposure requirement.
