We're not trading Weber, especially for that kind of offer. If we trade him this summer, it is for a top 10 pick and a A prospect.
Should I cry or laugh reading that?

I'm fine with trading Ceci and a late 1st rounder to UPGRADE our D but I don't really want Weber. He's 33 this summer, coming off a surgery to repair a fracture and torn tendons in his foot, and has a $ 7.857M cap hit until he turns 40. Surely there's a better option.
And Karlsson, assuming he's going to be extended, is worth WAY MORE than that. I'd still be disappointed with that return even if Vegas was taking Bobby Ryan too.
This. Karlsson is worth way more than that and NO TEAM is going to trade for him without an extension in place.
As for Weber, maybe Ryan + Ceci for Weber and a 2nd?
Habs get a younger/cheaper RD plus they get top-6 help. They have all the money in the world to pay Ryan and could buy him out or trade him with massive retention later IF/WHEN they have a more complete top-6
As for the Sens, I'm thinking of a top-4 D
Chabot-Karlsson
Wolanin-Weber
They will have enough cap space so Weber's cap hit won't matter. His salary is significantly decreasing starting next year. Plus, they have several young prospects to eventually replace Ryan (top-3 pick in the next draft, Batherson, Brown, Formenton, White, Chlapik, Gagne, Luchuk, Perron, another 1st round pick in 2018...)
