Really cool concept to look at. It's fun to look at things in hind sight and with perspective to see what could've been. Granted everyone could've looked at the Seguin trade through that lense when it happened but I digress.

I couldn't disagree more. hate these revisionist history posts. every single team has bad moves in their past, Boston ain't special.

Ya I'm really not sure why other teams fans are so obsessed with the Bruins moves. Funny how they never realize one moves changes everything though. Case in point, if Boston still had Hamilton and Carlo, do they really go out and draft McAvoy? If Seguin was still around, does Boston still have a glaring need for Pasta? Would they even be in a spot to select Pasta? or would their draft spot be worse and they miss out on him.

I'm with you these things are pointless since they assume that everything still plays out the same way....even though we know that isn't the case.

Also never understood why the Leafs got a pass. I mean imagine if they didn't trade for Phil Kessel and they had Seguin and Hamilton? TOR (if I'm doing this right) traded Seguin + Hamilton + Knight (out of the league) for what is now Kasperi Kapanen, James Greenway + Frederik Anderson. Seems like an awful lot, yet no one seems to care. Then of course for Leafs fans there is the Rask deal lol...pretty sure the guy they acquired for Rask is not a guest analyst on the Bruins pre-game show lol
