Player they draft likely a highly skilled winger that can slot in the top 6 replacing Patches.

Drouin moves back to wing with Hopkins taking center.

Free Agent Targets: J.T (Obv) Dan Hamius, JVR, Evander Kane, Joe Thornton, Calvin Da Hann

Targeting some veteran players to provide leadership and stability to the much younger Habs line-up. Likely can sign 3 max with very little cap space after J.T gets paid.

Carolina wants a future #1C for Hanifin, Too bad Montreal doesn't have one for them.

Habs do have 4 second round picks, numerous goalie prospects to add to the deal, I think you under value Shaw. He's always a playoff hero which Hurricanes definitely need.
