Why are all you leaf fans wanting Carlson? You dont need him. With all the prospects and young guys developing you'll have ATLEAST two of him in Dermott and Lilijgren

Dermott isn't a top 4 just yet, Liljegren will not be ready until 2019, he won't fully develop until at least 202. Carlson on a 2 or 3 year deal is ideal for this team

Dermott shoots left and we are extremely shallow on good RD aside from Lilijgren who is years away from potentially being a first pairing defenceman

He will get between 49 and 60 million offered to him, fully guaranteed. Hes not messing around with a short deal. Overpaying him for more than 1 year screws you with marner and matthews.
