Hossa isn't a bad contract. A few teams trying to make sure they get to the cap floor will take him because he only costs $1M a year but is a $5.5M cap hit. And if not, Hawks LITR him again for full relief. That said, the Hawks aren't going to give up 2 first round picks to get rid of Seabs, one first and a 3rd sure. Seabs is about $2M overpaid but he's not terrible, he's still a better then average veteran. Not only that, in 2021 with the new CBA, the Hawks can dump him then.

Why do people think players on LTIR contracts are.....so bad. They're not. They're almost meaningless. Now Hossa isn't waiving his NMC away, in case he was about to return to play.
