I never thought I would be happy to see another Tavares post, but when I saw the title of the post, I thought for a second you meant JT Miller. LOL
No way Tavares is coming to the Rangers. Have you seen all of those reports about the Rangers and Tavares having interest in each other? No, you haven't lol. There's no smoke because there's no fire! He would take a mountain of bad press and go down as a villain in NY for leaving the Islanders for their rival. Remember, he has to play in the same town. And btw, he's not only leaving the Islanders, he's giving the Rangers a discount? You need to drop another 2m on that contract.
Actually, all of your contracts are way off imo. I think you only got Hayes correct (though I wouldn't pay him 5.5 personally, Id rather trade him).
Bump Names 1 mil, bump Spooner 250-500k, bump Kovi 1 mil easy...and then Hanifin?!? How does Skjei get 4.5 but Hanifin gets 4? Bump that 1 mil easy = your over the cap by like 4 mil.
The Rangers just stocked up on like 4 LHD (Libor Hajik, Yegor Rikov, Ryan Lindgren, Chris Bigras). They also have Sean Day, John Gilmour...oh and they have some guy named Brady Skjei. Why would they want to trade away two very important, young forwards for yet another LHD? I am not saying Hanifin isn't impressive, but I have little interest in moving Mika, much less for a piece I don't truly need.
Are your lines set up? Krieder and Zucc would play way better with Tavares.
Sets you up to have an all Russian second line with Names in the middle. Otherwise, you have Chytil as your 2C...as a rookie? Names or Hayes would play that before Chytil would. This is where moving Zibanijad doesn't make sense. To be a real cup contender, you need that 1-2 punch up the middle. Imagine Names or Hayes as the 3C behind Mika? Now your talking!
Your 4th line is extremely inexperienced and would not be a good experience for your kids. Andersson would run the middle before Lettieri, and you'd need to give him some strong/experienced wingers to not stunt his growth. Ronning shouldn't even be on the roster this year unless he lights up Hartford (wouldn't Jesper Fast look good now?).
