Yeah, ok. If u know the teams dont want to make the trades and the values of the trades are off, than what’s the point of this?

As a Caps fan I'd sign off on that deal. Think it works for both teams.

Sorry, probably should probably have mentioned it in my details. "I have not been in contact with any of the NHL GMs, so I do not "know" for sure which teams are seriously Interested or what they are willing to pay." Is that better?

I don't get way the value going to the Sens is so wildly different from team to team. All value should be equal. Makes no sense

Avs are not giving up Jost and the Sens future pick as well as another 1st and 2nd rounder . That is a terrible deal for the Avs as it mortgages a lot of future on a hope Karlsson stays beyond 1 year.

Sens fans are going to have to realize teams are not going to get the world for EK unless a extension is hammered out for him.

I mean, the value is not that different. Overall, its one or two prospects with picks for Karlsson. But here is the thing (and maybe you didn't know), the quality and depths of prospect actually vary from team to team. So explain to me where it doesnt makes no sense?

Ok cool! An actual hockey comment. Assuming that hes sign for the next 8 years. As a Avs "GM", what would you be willing to give up for him?

Ok cool! An actual hockey comment. Assuming that hes sign for the next 8 years. As a Avs "GM", what would you be willing to give up for him?

An extended Karlsson, yeah that makes it easier for a team to rationalize what they are giving up. Cant give out 4-5 prime future pieces for a guy that could be only there for 1 year.
However I still wouldnt like the deal. Jost and the sens 1st holds a lot of value for the Avs future. I would take out Jost and put in Barrie, packaged with the sens 1st over. 2 me those make the most sense as the 2 main pieces in any deal on the Avs side of things...if not its too big of a gamble IMO
