I like the notion but when you are trading your players you have the remember what the needs of the teams are the, and the values for nyr they wouldn't touch that easily with their 8th pick they would be looking for an elite level young player with this good draft with their rebuilding present.

five stars for a brilliant plan.

Of course all of the trades are fake, all of our trades are fake and are never going to happen. Who cares if they do not fill the other teams needs, are the trades a fair exchange of talent, prospects or picks. I think you just proved that the Pens are loaded with talent. When I tried to do the same with the Sabres, I only ended up with 6 and I was taking on bad contracts as well.

I love your post, it is great fun to imagine the unimaginable.

BTW trade your next to 1st round picks for another pick from this year. and get almost half of this years 1st round picks.

I have it #10 here, not #8. I understand they’d look for a young player, but with Lunderstrom being #10, the Rangers dont need another C. I gave them Hagelin who played his best hockey with them and a gritty player that can score points, something the Rangers dont have a lot of (I think Kreider’s the closest they have). Hornqvist has also just won back-to-back Cups with Pittsburgh, and the Rangers have a chance to use him against them.

This doesn't fill nyr need of an elite forward or prospects so this deal would have no chance of going through, the salary on both players on a already cap strict team while rebuilding doesn't make sense.

What team do u believe would work? I can retain (I still have a 3rd contract I can retain). How about Minnesota?

retaining part of their contracts could bring in more value but since you already did 2 trades with that I don't believe a 3rd can be done unless im mistaken but sending hornqvuist would be ideal to a playoff bound team that needs a top 6 forward so devils could take it if you add maybe a 4th I could see them parting with their pick which should be in the range of 16-24.
