This team is not contending. Witkowski being on the third line... no team deserves to contend with him in the line up, let alone on the 3rd line. Svech should be up, and playing top 6. Bertuzzi and Abby are 3rd line guys. Rasmussen if he makes the team has to be a top 6 guy. Bertuzzi was a nice fill in in the top 6 but he is more of a 3rd line high energy guy, who can fill in top 6 if their are injuries etc.

As much as i like Faulk and trouba and the other trades that keep being floated this team cant compete for a couple years yet. Keep the young guys , keep loosing and shed contracts as you go. Then find out how edmonton fixed the lottery to get all those 1st overalls.
