Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Seguin, Tyler
Additional Details:
Seguin would have to un-offically agree to an extension with Edmonton management, prior to the trade (Granted that Edmonton was on his 15 team trade list as part of his NTC)
DAL
  1. Draisaitl, Leon
Additional Details:
Leon is a 22 year old future star, that hasn't hit his prime yet. Jamie Benn has expressed his man-crush for Draisaitl
2.
MTL
  1. Benning, Matthew
  2. Montoya, Al
  3. Puljujärvi, Jesse
  4. 2020 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
If Oilers make the playoffs in 2020, MTL acquires 1st round pick. If not, they get unconditional 1st round pick in 2021
3.
OTT
  1. Sekera, Andrej
  2. Yamamoto, Kailer
  3. 2019 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
If Edmonton win Draft lottery and pick top 3, Ottawa will get unconditional 2020 1st round pick from Edmonton (Granted that MTL doesn't get the pick if EDM misses the playoffs, in which case Senators would get unconditional 2021 1st round pick from Edmonton) Confusing I know, just for fun

the trades seem preety fair but I don't see dallas moving seguin with one of the best duo in the league (benn, seguin) even if its draisatl and carlsons contract is way to small the contract will look around 7.5 for 6-8 years annually. Drouin will probably not be moved either unless they get a little extra because he is 23 good for a rebuilding montreal.

From the sens perspective, the package of Yamamoto and a 1st for Hoff isn't bad. But adding in Sekera's contract AND our top goalie prospect is insane, hellz to the no.

Ya i was thinking that too about the Carlson contract. One can dream. With McDavid's 12.5 and a few 6 mils, it would be very difficult to sign him for 7+ with the cap crunch, so he would probably sign elsewhere since Oilers can't afford him. And Bergevin might make that Drouin deal to save his butt, probably the top GM in the league right to get canned, with Chiarelli being a close 2nd. Or possibly trading Drouin would be the catalyst to him getting fired as well

It’s because nobody remembers McDavid carries the offense, so to build a playoff team in Edmonton, u stack the Defense

Caggiula is overpaid by at least a million dollars;
Carlson is underpaid by at least a million dollars.

You're over cap already and next year will be worse; there's a reason why ELC's are needed to formulate a winning roster.
