Description
This is a killer team. INSTANTLY.
I realize we're trading a lot of current and future talent but you can't deny this is a better team.
* Also Akil Thomas with the Pittsburgh pick, unless we need to add that pick to the EDM trade instead of the 2nd rounder in 2019 and Pokka.

I don't mind the Karlsson trade. I like Dougie, Tkachuk is a bit of a fire cracker though. His antics can be hard to get behind.
Definitely not trading Brown, especially for what is coming back. Brown is having a great year and he looks like he could develop very nicely. Why trade him for a 2nd line centre expiring in 2 years??

I wouldnt do the Oils trade or resign Tom Pyatt because the Sens have youth like Chlapik, Brown, and White that can fill in. Also, Z.Smith can b reinserted into the lineup.
The Karlsson trade’s good, I guess, If u think the Sens won’t mind his anger issues. Trade a 2nd and 3rd for Grub’s rights because u don’t need to give them Harpur when u have picks to give them.

I didn't resign Pyatt. He has another year under contract. I was considering trading Z. Smith actually - just forgot to do it before posting. I like Hoffman, Tkachuk, Maksimov and Formenton down the left side a lot.
I'd rather keep the 2nd round pick out of the Grub trade especially since we are SET for years on left handed D - No need to keep Harpur.

Fair enough, but I’d still trade Pyatt for a 6th or something and bring up Chlapik, and I still don’t think they need 6M RNH.

Can't see CGY moving the two guys they likely view as the best at F and D in a couple years who will be a great contracts, even for Karlsson.

ED would strongly consider the RNH trade.

That MIGHT BE true but of all the trades above that's the one I am least worried about. So long as we are trading Karlsson WITHOUT Ryan being part of the deal (and to a team that EK would extend with) we would easily get back a return like this and have options on where to make the deal. With Dahlin, Chabot and Wolanin on the LEFT side all we really need are right handed that are solid in their own end - they don't need to be big contributors offensively.

Thanks! It makes me crazy that so many people will go through this process just to make completely unrealistic trades and signings. As soon as I see Mark Stone resigned longterm for 6 million I stop reading. LOL

Calgary will never do that trade. They need offense and Karlsson isn’t that much of an upgrade over Hamilton.

Jesus Christ you must know nothing about anything.

Karlsson - Leads team in points for 5 years straight and has multiple 60 + point seasons including 3 above 70 and one above 80. Adding Karlsson takes the teams offence to another level.

Hamilton - Has one 50 Point season, the rest at around 30-40, at Hamilton’s age Karlsson already had one 70 Point season under his belt. Suddenly leads defenseman in goals one year and apparently he’s a god now.

Don't sign Ceci to a 4 year deal... Ceci is garbage and at MOST should be getting 2.
